About Chris' Vinyl
I have been an avid music fan and collector my entire life. I can still remember my mom and dad playing playing their 45's for me, on my portable Micheal Jackson record player, when I was a little kid. I have collected cassettes and CD's throughout the years, but vinyl has become my preferred format due to the warm, authentic, analog sound it delivers. There is nothing quite like the sound of the soft fuzz that starts when you set down the needle, leading into the recording as the needle settles into the grooves. Listening to an album on vinyl allows you to appreciate the imperfections and human element of a recording, instead of the narrow digital representation that CD's and (especially) MP3's provide.
I have started this website to create an easily searchable inventory of my collection, and allow anyone that's interested to view it and contact me for trades. I have a relatively small collection, as I have only been collecting vinyl for a few years, and would like to create an environment that is effective in growing my collection while potentially helping out other collectors with their needs.

Site Breakdown
I have divided the site up into four links, that I think are pretty self explanatory, but here is the breakdown.
I use the grading system detailed at this link (VINYL ALBUM GRADING/CONDITION) in my blog.
Have fun digging for the rare stuff, and feel free to send me a message!
- My Collection : This is the blog where I will post my inventory. It will be updated as I add albums to my collection, and be easily searchable by the tags in the sidebar.
- My Wishlist : Here I will keep a list of albums that I am looking for. If you have anything listed here, and are willing to trade, please message me on the "Contact Me" page.
- Contact Me : If I have a record that you are looking for send me a message by filling out the form on this page. I am still building my collection, so I would prefer to trade and keep my inventory up, but I will entertain offers to sell if the price is right.
- Links : On this page I have gathered up a few links that I have found useful while building my collection. I have included links to my local record store and a few sites that have inexpensive or unique albums for sale. Also included on this page are a few resources for grading, pricing, and care. Lastly, I have posted a couple links about collecting that I think are interesting.
